Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney tennis teams are both the third seeds in the 2014 MIAA Tournament, held April 25-27 in Springfield, Mo., at the Cooper Tennis Complex. 

The Loper men (16-4, 3-2) will face Emporia State at 9:00 a.m. on Friday with a win pitting them against second-seed SW Baptist on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Two wins by UNK means they likely would host an NCAA Regional first round match.

Last weekend, the Lopers edged the ESU Hornets, 5-4, at Harmon Park. SBU beat UNK, 6-3, in Bolivar earlier this spring.

On the womens' side, Kearney (18-6, 7-3) takes on NW Missouri State Friday at 1:00 p.m. The Bearcats beat the Lopers, 5-4, in early March in Iowa. A win over Northwest would pit UNK against SBU.
