Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney men's tennis team won eight of the nine matches to easily defeat the Augustana Vikings Sunday in Sioux Falls, S.D.

UNK, ranked seventh in the Central Region and just outside the nation's Top 50, is now 13-4 while Augie slips to 5-9.

In doubles, the Lopers allowed just two points in winning in the second and third spots to take a 2-1 dual lead.

UNK didn't drop a singles match, winning five in straight sets. Brazilian freshman Neto Cacace had a big battle in the second position as he out lasted Collin Noldner in three long sets; 3-6, 7-6 (8), 10-5

With three regular season matches left, all at home, freshman Mohab El Zanaty leads in singles wins (13) with four others having between 10-12.  

Zanaty and Spanish freshman Lucas Garces are a Loper-best 15-1 in doubles, playing in the second spot of late. At No. 1 doubles, Cacace and senior Yeswanth Nadella (India) are 13-8 and have been regionally-ranked all spring.
