Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney and Missouri Southern State women's soccer teams both took 12 shots in a 0-0 double overtime tie Thursday night in Joplin.
This game was originally set for a 6:00 p.m. start but, due to weather, was pushed back one hour and also moved to Fred Hughes Stadium.
UNK (4-7-2, 1-4-1) is now 0-2-2 in extra session games this fall. The tie does give Kearney one point, pushing its season total to four, in the MIAA standings race.
Not only did the squads take the same amount of shots but they also were tied in corners (three) and fouls (15).

Allie Prososki (Kearney Catholic H.S.) made four saves, one more than her counterpart, to record her fifth shutout as a Loper.
Katelin Mielke set the UNK record for shutouts (5.2) back in 2013.
In the final 10 minutes, the Lions (3-7-2, 0-5-1) got off three shots, one sailing wide, one hitting the crossbar at 108:35 and one stopped by Prososki. UNK saw Omaha junior
Carly Brown have a shot on goal in the 107th minute but it was saved by MSSU freshman Luz Galindo.

Kristyn Otter took two shots in the first overtime with fellow co-captain
Kadie Walaszczyk (Houston) taking the Lopers final shot in regulation. That came at 87:11 and was wide.
Overall, Brown had a team-high three shots with four others, including Otter and Walaszczyk, firing off two. Finally, freshman
Audrey Barrera (Fullerton, Calif.) was one of six Lopers to go all 110 minutes.
UNK is at Southwest Baptist Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats fell to 0-12-0 (0-6-0) after a 1-0 loss to Fort Hays State Thursday afternoon.
