Box Score Kearney, Neb. – Three Nebraska-Kearney soccer players scored a goal for the first time in a 3-0 win over Southwest Baptist Saturday afternoon in Bolivar, Mo.
Prior to several games Sunday, the Lopers (5-7-2, 2-4-1) are in sole possession of eighth place in the MIAA with seven points. Meanwhile, the Bearcats fall to 0-13 (0-7).
While SBU had all four corners in the game, UNK outshot the 'Cats by eight, 14-6. The shots were evenly distributed as the Lopers had seven in each half.

Shannon Duff banged home a free kick from 25 yards out and a 1-0 Loper lead. Just five minutes later, Omaha sophomore
Sami Stock got loose and her shot went off an SBU defender and into the back of the net.
Early in the second half, Norfolk freshman
Maddie Love saw a shot saved by SBU keeper Makayla Hussong. However, Hussong couldn't coral the loose ball and Love was there to tap in the rebound.
Love ended with a team-high three shots while Omaha freshman
McKenzie Nabity, Colorado sophomore
Micheala Hoffman and Hastings junior
Marika Van Brocklin had two apiece.
Defensively, redshirt freshman
Allie Prososki (Kearney Catholic H.S.) went the first 67 minutes in goal and made five saves. Omaha sophomore
Ali Hirschman, injured at the beginning of the year, returned from the disabled list and played the last 25 minutes.
This marks UNK's sixth shutout of the fall and third in a row. The 2013 squad set the Loper standard with eight shut outs.
UNK hosts Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State next weekend.
