Kearney, Neb. – With warmer than expected temperatures, the Nebraska-Kearney tennis teams will now host Colorado Mesa in Harmon Park on Thursday afternoon.
The dual was originally set to be played at the Racquet Center in Grand Island. With the site switch, start time is pushed back two hours to 1:00 p.m. This is the first time in 2015-16 the Lopers will play in Kearney.
Back in the fall, the 19th-ranked Loper men (6-0) beat the Mavericks by an 8-1 score in Pueblo, Colo. Mesa is currently ranked eighth in the South Central Region. On the women's side, UNK (5-0) is the Central's fifth ranked squad and defeated CMU, 6-3, in the fall. Mesa comes in with a 9-4 mark.
This Sunday, March 6th, the men will battle St. Cloud State in Grand Island. First serve is set for 11:00 a.m.
