Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney men's tennis team is now ranked 21st in the latest Oracle/ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association)
Division II Top 50 rankings.The Lopers (11-0) were 19th in the February 24th edition of the poll.
Among Central Region schools, only Northwest Missouri State (16th) is ahead of UNK. Other MIAA schools in the Top 50 are Washburn (25th) and Southwest Baptist (31st).
Weather permitting, Kearney is at No. 38 East Central Friday morning in Tulsa. They then began MIAA play with a key road date at SBU on April 1st.
On the women's side, Southwest Baptist (11th) and Northeastern State (16th) represent the MIAA in the Top 50. UNK (8-3, 1-1) fell at NSU, 7-2, on March 18th and also face the SW Baptist Bearcats next week.
Ranked sixth regionally, the Loper women also play ECU tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. and then host Missouri Western State this coming Tuesday in Harmon Park. First serve is set for 1:00 pm.
