Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's tennis team made quick work of Fort Hays State,
7 -0, Tuesday afternoon at Harmon Park.
The Lopers are now 15-4 (7-2) with the Tigers falling to 7-12 (1-8).
Before the rains halted the No. 1 and No. 6 singles matches, UNK secured the dual win. The Lopers allowed just four points in doubles and four points between No. 2-5 singles.
Senior
Paula Jimenez (Spain) won her No. 3 singles match over Raven Dick by a 6-0, 6-0 score. In doubles, she teamed with sophomore
Emma Neil (Papillion) to win 8-0 in the third spot in the lineup.
Weather permitting, UNK hosts the Concordia Bulldogs Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. This will be "Senior Day" with Jimenez and Fletcher Sheridan (Georgetown, Texas) being honored.
