Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney men's golf team shot a 54-hole total of 927 to tie for 14th place at the Ichabod Invitational Tuesday in Topeka.

This was UNK's final tournament of the fall. The two-day, 17-team event was held at the par 71 Topeka C.C.

The Lopers had rounds of 300, 311 and 316 to tie Concordia-St. Paul from the NSIC; UNK was just 16 strokes behind ninth place Rockhurst. Kearney did beat MIAA foes Fort Hays State and Lincoln.

Lindenwood and Central Oklahoma both shot an 872 but the Lions took home the team trophy thanks to a tie breaker. The host Ichabods were eight strokes back with Winona State fourth (891).

English senior Brad Hill and Hebron junior Jay Cottam both finished in the Top 25 to lead UNK. Hill shot a 224 (70-77-77) with Cottam (73-74-78) three places back in 25th.
Washburn teammates Blake Allen and Jared Burns both fired an even par 213 with Allen taking home medalist honors thanks to a playoff win.

Playing as an individual, sophomore Austin Murray had 34 pars to tie for 45th (230; 77-77-76) with fellow KHS graduate Cody Troudt two places back (231; 75-78-78). Rounding out the lineup was Minnesota junior Jacob Baker (93rd; 248; 82-82-84) and Texas junior Riley Williams (T-94th; 252; 84-85-83).
