Eight Earn All-Region Honors

Kearney, Neb. – Eight members of the Nebraska Kearney track and field team have earned 2025 All-Central Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the outdoor season.?

The top-five individuals in each event from each of Division II's eight regions earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the top-three relay teams. 2025 Outdoor All Region

Kearney redshirt junior Lily Novacek leads the nation in the hammer (school-record 211-9) with Hastings sophomore Nolan Studley being the Central's top high jumper (7-1). Next, York junior Brynn Hirschfeld (10:44.96) and Omaha junior Nick Abdalla (8:57.18) are fourth in the region in the steeple, Gothenburg freshman Madison Smith is fourth in the discus (164-9), McCool Junction freshman Kassidy Stuckey is fourth at 1,500-meters (school-record 4:27.08), Kansas junior Kenyon Forest ranks fifth in the javelin (226-5) and Omaha sophomore Reed Emsick is fifth at 800-meters (1:50.52). Finally, Forest, Hirschfeld and Novacek are repeat outdoor honorees.

The NCAA Championships are Memorial Day Weekend in Pueblo, Colo., with Novacek, Studley, Abdalla, Smith and Forest being UNK's  qualifiers.
