Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney track and field team is well represented on the 2024-25 national team and individual academic honors from the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

To qualify for the "All-Academic" team award, a program must have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average. All student-athletes on a roster are included in the GPA tally with transfers/graduate students grades at their current institution only being factored into the equation.

The Loper women came in with a 3.649, ranked 13th nationally, with the UNK men at a 3.342. Illinois-Springfield (3.867) and Florida Southern (3.624) were the women's and men's GPA leaders, respectively

Individually, a student-athlete must carry at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have ranked in an individual event (Top 50) or relay event (Top 35) nationally. UNK had 20 qualifiers this year, second most in program history. The '24 squad had 23 such qualifiers.

The Loper cross country season starts in September with the indoor track season in early December.
