UNK Battles NSIC Competition on the Road to Start the Fall

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney women's soccer team begins the fall this weekend in the Twin Cities.

UNK is at Concordia-St. Paul where they'll battle the host Golden Bears on Friday night (7 p.m.) and then the Minnesota State-Moorhead Dragons Sunday morning (11 a.m.).

Fans not attendance can follow along (for free) via the NSIC Network with live stats available as well. UNK is 0-1-1 all-time vs. CU and 2-1-2 vs. MSUM. Those games were held either in Kearney or Aberdeen, S.D.

The Lopers, coming off an 8-6-5 season, were picked eighth in the 13-team MIAA preseason coaches' poll. Concordia went 13-4-4 last fall, reaching the NCAA Tournament where it fell to Missouri Western in the first round. They were picked second in the 16-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference poll and received a first place vote. Moorhead was slotted 15th as they went 1-14-3 in 2024.

The Blue & Gold hosts its annual tournament next weekend with Sioux Falls, Black Hills State (S.D.) and Northwestern Oklahoma State coming to Foster Field.
