Basart & Studley Voted to CSC Academic All-American Team

Kearney, Neb. – Nebraska Kearney track and field standouts Rylan Basart and Nolan Studley have both been named 2026 second-team Academic All-Americans.  CSC Academic All-American NEW

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) nominate and vote on the makeup of the Academic All-District and Academic All-American track and field teams. Student-athletes must first qualify for All-District honors before they can move onto the national ballot. To qualify for CSC honors, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA (both undergrad and graduate) and meet their sports minimum competition requirements. Basart (Stockton, Kan.) has a 3.86 in Physics while Studley (Hastings H.S.) maintains a 3.64 in Business Administration. 

Basart was the top American and fourth place finisher in the javelin (230-10) at the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Emporia with Studley winning the high jump national title (7-2.25). Basart is a three-time All-American with Studely now a four-timer. Finally, Basart was a 2024 CSC third-team Academic AA with this being Studley's first honor.
