First Postseason Appearance in 7 Years

Kearney, Neb. –  Nebraska-Kearney freshman golfer Sara Wissing has been selected to play in the NCAA Central Regional May 4-6 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Four regionals, held May 3-5 or May 4-6, are the first phase of the NCAA Championships. Each region consists of nine teams and four individuals from non-qualifying teams. The top three teams in each regional, plus the top three individuals from a non-qualifying squad, advance to the NCAA Championships May 13-16 in Findlay, Ohio.

The Central regional features five schools from the NSIC (Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) and four from the RMAC. Wissing (Hastings) led UNK in stroke average this year with an 83.73 and is the second ranked individual within the region.
