Kearney, Neb. – University of Nebraska Kearney soccer team was defeated by #14 Metro State, 4-0, Friday afternoon, in Denver, Colorado.
Nebraska Kearney falls to 6-7-2 and 3-6-2 in the RMAC, Metro State improves to 11-3-2 and 7-3-2 in the RMAC. The Road Runners beat the Lopers, 1-0, in Kearney on October 3rd.
Metro State got on the scoreboard with a goal by Madison McQuilliams at the 26th minute mark, off of a rebound shot which was taken by Nicole Pollack.
The Road Runners would get second half goals by McQuilliams at the 56th minute mark, Aleah DeGeneres a minute later, and Caitlin Oliver at the 69 minute mark.
UNK was lead in shots by freshman
Raliegh Mercer (Centennial, CO) with four shots, followed by
Becka Talcott (Denver, CO) and
Katie Larghe (Thornton, CO), each tallied two shots.
Metro State would out shoot Nebraska Kearney 32-10 and attempt four corner kicks.
UNK will play at nationally ranked Regis University on Sunday afternoon.
