Second Spring Tournament in the Books

Keanrey, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney women's golf team shot a 36-hole total of 627 to tie for 11th at the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational Tuesday in Edmond, Okla.

The 16-team, two-day event was hosted by Southern Nazarene at the Kickingbird G.C. (par 70, 5,828 yards.)

UNK had rounds of 317 and 310 tie 49th-ranked Missouri Southern and come in ahead of the ninth-ranked team in the JUCO ranks, Redlands (Okla.) College. Southwestern Oklahoma state won (604) with Southern Arkansas and Northwestern Oklahoma State six strokes back in second.

Colombian senior Juliana Botero Molina tied for 19th with a 12-over 152 (74-78). She had three birdies and 17 pars in the tournament. SAU's Aubrey Marx and NWOSU's Agathe Lacoste both shot a 6-over 146 to tie for medalist honors.

Next for the Lopers, Minnesota freshman Calie Dockter (72-75) and Kansas sophomore Liz Lyons (80-77) both shot a 157 to tie for 37th place.  Dockter had back-to-back birdies on day two with Lyons carding a birdie and five straight pars in round one.

Finally, Kansas sophomore Claire Berquist played as an individual and tied for 41st (158; 81-77), Arizona junior Emmie Rhude tied for 53rd (161; 81-80), and Arizona senior Sophia Coleman tied for 77th (169; 82-87).
