Lopers Announce Administration Staff Updates

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney Athletic Department today announced changes to its staff.

Sean Smith has been promoted to Manager of Events & Operations with Steve Bracale taking over as Manager of Marketing & Fan Experience. Smith replaces Jake Greco who left UNK in the winter of 2024 for a position at UNL with Bracale taking over Smith's previous position.

Bracale comes to the Lopers after working with the Tri-City Storm for five years (2020-25). He served as Director of Sales and was involved with revenue generation, ticket marketing, operation and sales and client hospitality. Previously, Bracale worked for the Texas Stars Hockey Club (2017-20) and the Houston Dynamo (2015-17) of Major League Soccer. Finally, he holds a Sports Management degree from Division II Wilmington (Del.) University.

Smith joined UNK Athletics in August 2022 and oversaw ticket sales and operations, handled game day promotions, and created scripts for the public address announcer and the video production team. Previously, he was Gameday Director for the Storm (2018-22) and served as an assistant basketball coach at Kearney Catholic (2019-25).

The 2025-26 athletic year begins on Aug. 4 when the football team starts fall camp.
