Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney women's golf team shot an 18-hole score of 347 to finish second at the Hastings College Invite Monday at Southern Hills Golf Course.
A total of seven teams competed in the
tournament.
UNK was paced by Hastings sophomore
Sara Wissing, who placed fifth with an 81 (39-42). Danielle Bellet of Dakota Wesleyan was the medalist with a even par 72. Wesleyan (328) also won the tournament with the host Broncos third (350).
Wissing and Norfolk sophomore
Nicole Erwin were among the tourney leaders in pars with eight a piece. Erwin and Gretna freshman
Kristen Goldenstein each tied for ninth (87; 44-43) with Beatrice sophomore
Marni Stuart tied for 15th (92; 50-42) and Noforlk junior
Thea Baum 31st (92; 51-46).
UNK plays in the Augustana Invite in Sioux Falls April 10-11.
