Carl Cox, a 1926 graduate, earned nine letters in the 1920s. The versatile Cox was a guard in basketball; a guard, end and fullback in football; and a high jumper and long jumper for the track team. He was a coach, teacher and administrator in Kansas for 34 years and an administrator in Arizona for seven years before his retirement.
