Kathy Welter was a four-year letterman in volleyball, three-year letter winner in both basketball and softball and a two-year indoor track letter winner from 1972 to 1976. After graduating from Kearney State, she played two years in the Women’s Professional Softball League. She has coached at Oklahoma Baptist, Texas Tech and California State Bakersfield.
