Jon Bergmeier was an outstanding basketball player on teams that experienced tremendous success from 1982 to 1985. Bergmeier earned third-team NAIA All-American and first-team Academic All-American honors as a guard his senior year after averaging 20.5 points. He was also named to the all-CSIC team as a junior and senior. He finished his career as the fifth leading scorer in school history with 1,337 points. A three-year starter, Bergmeier played on teams that qualified for the NAIA National Basketball Tournament all four years posting 26-10, 25-11, 28-9 and 21-11 records.
