Larry Jacobsen, the ‘Homer Thunderbolt’, was one of the great running backs in Kearney State history. He was a 1959 NAIA All-American after setting an Antelope season record of 1,075 yards. His career mark 2,552 and single game total of 230 yards were also Kearney State records. Jacobsen was a 1975 Shrine Bowl coach and is a member of the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame.
