Clyde Cox earned 11 letters as an Antelope three-sport star from 1923 to 1927. He was all conference in football and basketball and a college record holder in track. After graduation Cox spent 43 years in education in Nebraska before retiring in 1972. He was the first superintendent at Grand Island Northwest High School, which he helped organize and build.
