Mike McGlade’s play at offensive guard from 1976 to 1979 was a major reason the Antelope football team recorded outstanding success. Coach Claire Boroff’s squad won four conference championships, reached the NAIA national playoffs twice and was ranked in the Top Ten nationally all four years, compiling a 33-5-2 record. Two of those losses were in the national play-offs. McGlade, a four-year letterman, was all-CSIC and all-NAIA District 11 in 1978 and 1979. He was honorable mention All-American in 1978 and second team All-American in 1979.
