After graduating from Hebron Junior College in 1937, Louis Ellermeier became an Antelope and excelled in football and basketball for two years. On the football team, he was a starting tackle and was the kickoff and extra point man. As a senior he was named to the all-conference team. As the starting center on the basketball team, he led the squad in scoring and was an all-conference selection both years. After teaching and serving in World War II, he farmed near Scribner for nearly 40 years before retiring.
