Rich Osentowski was an outstanding football and baseball player who earned four letters in each sport. In baseball, Osentowski was a three-time NAIA All-American, leading the nation in batting in two seasons. He had a career batting average .442. He also played two years in the Minnesota Twins farm systems. A quarterback in football, he led the Antelopes to a 9-0 season in 1967. He passed for a Kearney State record 279 yards against Chadron State in his senior year. He also set a single game career rushing/passing yardage records.
