Claire Boroff, a member of the 1956 to 1959 Antelope football and track teams, set a number of college and NAIA records. A 1958 NAIA All-American selection, he scored 121 points as a running back and kicker. He kicked 66 extra points and scored 30 points in the Kearney State - Dana College game in 1958 to set Antelope records. His 97-yard run from scrimmage against Dana also tied a Kearney State record. Following a successful high school coaching career, Boroff joined the Kearney State staff in 1968.
