Martin ‘Tuck’ Mason dominated the middle distances during his years at Kearney State. He won four letters in track and three in cross-country from 1958 to 1962. Tuck captured the conference 880-yard run all four years he competed. He was NAIA runner-up in the 1962 NAIA Championships in 880. His mark of 1:50.7 was one of the nation’s outstanding times.
